MATT SMITH

Hi I’m Matt, I’m a qualified level 3 personal trainer I’m also a certified Les Mills Body Pump,Body Combat,Body Attack and Grits series instructor. I’ve been a member of the Jh studio team for 18months after successfully completing my personal trainer qualification. 

After training by myself since the age of 15 wether that was through personal work in the gym, group exercise or competing in a sport. I thought it was time to give something back to people so they can be a more confident, healthier, fitter version of themselves through my energy and enthusiasm. Whether your starting out on your fitness journey or a top athlete. I will set your goals and tailor them to suit you and your needs. After 8 years of fitness experience I have a wealth knowledge whilst also evolving and adapting to the ever growing industry.I will be there every step of the way to help guide and support you to reach your goals whilst also making  the experience personal and enjoyable. 

Cam Edmonds.

Hi my name’s Cam, I’m a level 3 Qualified personal trainer and enthusiast in all things cycling and endurance sports.

I’ve been interested in sport since my school years from Football to Rugby.  I started to really focus on health and exercise when I was around 15/16 years old, around then I took up XC mountain bike racing at Regional and National Level.

Over recent years I’ve competed in numerous Ironman events, local triathlons and also half and Marathon distance running, this is something which was completely out of my comfort zone.  Yes, even as a personal trainer, we also have challenges which help us to adapt and grow with our own fitness and capabilities and also help us to become better coaches.

What I can do for you:

As a self taught athlete, I have a great understanding of what is needed to help you to reach your goals, I have the skill and training techniques to get you there, this is a process I have been through myself over the years.  I will not only help you execute correct form and technique but I will educate and help you understand the process to build confidence and to help promote healthy lifestyle choices.

If you are just starting out on your fitness journey, lack the confidence or don’t know where to start or you have been training and competing for years and you have hit a plateau or have an event in mind you want to target, I am here to join you in this exciting challenge to achieve your goal.

CLAIRE BANKS

About 6 years ago I suddenly realised that I was overweight & totally unfit & it was about time I did something about it! I signed with a Pt & I started working properly at the gym, something I’d never done before despite being a member of a gym! I achieved good results & a year later stepped up to doing Bootcamp classes & really got to grips with improving my diet. I got very heavily into the Paleo Diet, it suited me and I found it easy to follow. Linking this with training hard, I dropped a serious amount of body fat. I found I liked the exercise, eating regime & how I looked and felt and wanted to help people feel the same way.

Three years ago I started training with Jaime and she encouraged me massively with my own training and looking into going back to college, a little daunting at my age! My children had reached an age where I found I had plenty of time for myself and my husband & I sold our business freeing up more time allowing me to follow my passion. So, under Jaime’s guidance I studied for my gym instructor and personal trainer courses which led me to where I am now. I now feel well placed to train a variety of clients, whether it’s for weight loss, fitness, toning or for a particular event, I find it really interesting to match relevant workouts to my various clients and their needs. No two scenarios are ever the same and that the beauty of the job. It hasn’t always been easy but if you set realistic stage by stage goals you can achieve anything you want! I have!!

EMILIE BRADBURY

My passion for health, exercise and wellbeing began at the age of 2 when I started dance.  I later graduated with a Distinction in Dance and Performing Arts.  I followed my dream and passion and secured my dream job as a professional dancer travelling across Europe.  When the pandemic hit it stopped me in my tracks, little did I know what was around the corner and the change of direction my life and career was about to take from dancing into the fitness industry.

I reached out to Jaime to support and develop my own fitness and training and its here I fell in love with fitness.  I completed my Level 3 Personal Training qualification and some additional courses to coach group fitness, I feel blessed to have been given the opportunity to be part of Team JH and the community here.

In 2023 I completed one of the biggest challenges of my life, Ironman 70.3 Mallorca.  This was a life changing experience for me from beginning until end, I had 1.2 miles to swim in the sea, a 56 mile bike ride through the mountains to complete, followed by a half marathon.  I had very little experience with any of these disciplines, I had not swam or rode a bike since I was little. I dedicated 12 months towards this event and during this time I overcame so many battles, both physical and mental but in May 2023 I DID IT!  This was life changing and completely cemented my love and passions for fitness and wanting to help others achieve their personal goals.

I appreciate the journey of deciding to change your life course and the dedication and help this requires, I want to help people change their lives and guide them.  I have the tools and the focus to support each and every client with their journey, no matter what they want to achieve.  If you are an absolute beginner or an athlete I can help you push through your boundaries and fears, we will work together to achieve your goals.
